Phil Perry, President & Coach

Phil is a digital-first strategic communicator who has advised Fortune 500 companies, startups, small businesses, national trade associations, game-changing non-profits, and political campaigns across the globe. He brings the perspective of a coach and endurance athlete to all his client relationships and projects by setting a big goal and building the plan to achieve it.

Before founding On the Line Strategy, Phil was the Vice President of Client Services at Woolf Strategy where he served as a trusted adviser to some of the firm’s largest clients, including the American Federation of Teachers, Guns Down America, NAACP, National Education Association, and Run for Something. Phil also advised political candidates up and down the ballot and across the country. Some of his proudest moments were working with Danica Roem and Christine Hallquist, two openly transgender candidates who made history.

Prior to Woolf Strategy, Phil was an account manager and digital strategist for Adfero, Burson-Marsteller, and Penn Schoen Berland in Washington, D.C. His clients included the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AT&T, and U.S. Travel Association. He also led award winning-projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ford Motor Company, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and the Nuclear Energy Institute. At PSB, Phil advised campaigns for prime minister and president in countries across the globe, including on-the-ground operations in Albania and for Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

Phil’s Florida roots are deep, starting with a stint as the Florida Democratic Party’s IT Director and LGBTQ+ outreach liaison from 2006-2008. He also served as President Obama’s IT Director in Florida during the 2008 campaign. Since then, Phil has worked with campaigns for local office, the state legislature, the Florida Cabinet, and Congress in every market across the state. He currently serves as the Communications Director of the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus.

Phil is an avid marathon runner, middle school cross country and track coach, and Eagle Scout. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his husband Josh, who is running for a county-wide seat on the Jacksonville City Council, and their three dachshunds: Dexter, Dirk, and Max. Phil and Josh are on the waiting list to adopt their first child.
